Can someone translate this phrase to Korean? Hangul please?

"It's by chance we met, by choice we became friends."

I got this from google translate: "그것은 우리가 만난 우연의, 선택에 의해 우리는 친구가되었다" and I'm not sure if it makes sense.

    우리가 만난 것은 우연이였지만, 우리가 친구가 된 것은 선택이었다.
