Does a Tetanus shot protect you from a dog bite?
I volunteer at my local shelter, and am around many animals (both cats/dogs). Would I be protected from a "dog bite," if I am current on a Tetanus vaccine? TY

The Tetanus shot protects you from Tetanus. Period. You can still get an infection from a bite that would require antibiotics. You could also still get rabies (though it's unlikely you'd be handling any rabid dogs or cats).

If you are concerned about what vaccines would be an extra precaution look into what vaccines vet tech need.
There is a rabies vaccine for people: http://www.vaccines.gov/diseases/rabies/
