rate my squad, record 8-5, 2nd place overall, ultra competitive league?
qb: mccown, cutler, rodgers (rodgers is my starting qb, but I have been playing a bevy of qb's since his injury, this week i will play either mccown or cutler)
RB: Stacy, Vereen, Lacy, Ball, Mendenhall
WR: Demaryius Thomas, Jordy Nelson, Michael Crabtree, Julian Edelman
TE: Greg Olsen
K: Gotskowski
Def: Bengals
On the waiver wire which I want to get,
- Darren McFadden (I know people aren't high on him, but I am still a believer) - is he an upgrade over Ball?
-Keenan Allen...drop edelman for him?
-Greene TE for chargers, can be a nice back up to Greg Olsen....
Let me know your thoughts and thanks!
standard league, 10 team league.

Without knowing the size of the league, your team can't be rated. The size of league tells us where you SHOULD be. Obviously, anyone who rates it without knowing this can't be taken seriously...jeez.
So I can comment on balance, I guess. It's surprising Allen is still available, and you'd definitely get him. In fact, I'd take him over any of your WRs except Thomas.
As for D-Mac, this is silly. You've got a much better stable of RBs than you do WRs, and D-Mac is a downgrade. With Ball, he's not a great start right now, but as soon as the Broncos capture home field throughout, he'll be the top guy until the postseason. He's a much better option than D-Mac for the long haul.
Finally, the last thing you should be worried about is a b/u TE. Where you may be in trouble is at QB. Rodgers is unlikely to start this week, and even if he gets cleared for next week, you can't possibly start him after this long of an absence. He has no OL. Depending on when your playoffs start, you need more help at QB. McCown should be fine for this week, but with Cutler you have the same problem -- if and when he returns, you wouldn't start him that first week back. Personally, unless your playoffs go until like week 17, I'd cut bait on Rodgers. You're just hanging on to a name at this point.

6.5 - 7. You've definitely done a solid job on the waiver wire, but you don't have much elite talent there. You're RB's are pretty weak, and you really only have DT at WR. Nelson has little value without Rodgers, and Edelman hasn't been getting it done. Crabtree will end up getting points, but still too soon to tell. Greg Olsen is good, but also not elite.
Absolutely drop Edelman for Keenan Allen. I can't believe it's a very competitive league if Allen is still avail on the waivers... Also Jennings may not play if he doesn't pass his concussion test, in which case McFadden will get the start. I would drop Mendenhall for him.

If Keenan Allen is sitting out there, it isn't an ultra competitive league.
But if you are 8-5, 2nd overall, then your team is pretty good, I don't really need to see the players, do I?

I like your squad. I give it a solid A with Rodgers and B+ without. Pick up Keenan and Green from SD!

Don't know about McFadden but definatly go for Keenan Allen. Overall, I'd say you're a 7.5/10. When Rodgers is back you're an 8
