Does the heart rate rise when someone is about to commit suicide?

Is it true that if someone is about to commit suicide ie. jump off a bridge. Will the adrenal gland produce adrenaline which in turn will raise the heart rate?

yes, because it's counter-intuitive to commit suicide and your body's naturally freaked about what's about to happen.
