You would have to on police officer job applications. However, having been arrested might or might not prevent you from getting hired. Getting police officer jobs can be very competitive. Any red flags can hurt your chances of getting hired by some police departments. Your chances of getting hired could depend on things such as what you were charged with, what department(s) you apply with, when you apply, how well you do on written tests and during interviews, and how good a candidate you are otherwise. Make sure to be honest when completing applications. If a department thinks that you were not honest or that you've intentionally omitted information, you won't get hired.

For the purpose of applying for the military or law enforcement, there is NO SUCH THING as expunged. If you case was never prosecuted, there was no conviction to expunge anyway. The fact you WERE arrested never goes away, even if you are charged and acquitted by a jury. Attempting to hide whatever it was ALWAYS hurts more than whatever you were charged with.

Arrested, yes, convicted no.Usually they want an explanation for the arrests. READ the question they are asking. sometimes they want arrests, sometimes only felony arrests, sometimes only convictions.
