Kobe or LeBron in their primes?

Kobe in around 2006 when he dropped 81, 62 in 3 quarters, etc.

Or...

LeBron right now during the peak of his career

i think they're great baseball players. Especially when they go in for the touchdowns. Though I have to say that Kobe has a great tennis arm over LeBron. :D!

i wish there was someone better than Lebron to compare to prime Kobe. Thats actually kind of an insult to Kobe in his prime. Its almost like youre asking me if i would take Karl Malone over Michael Jordan. Lebron has the reputation for "doing it all" but thats really just a way of excusing the fact that he never played on Kobes best level. The truth is that Kobe is and always has been capable of doing it all as well. Just last season he put up a game with like 7 assists, 47 points, at least 3 or 4 blocks and a great 4th quarter. It was the best game of the season by any player(as usual) and he was way out of prime. when you are a child you are born with predetermined abilities. Sure practice can help but you cant just suddenly be better than Kobe, and no, im sorry but getting a couple extra assists or rebounds does NOT = an 81 point game or 30 game winning shots. Lebron fans will learn this, be it the easy way or hard way.

Lebron is a better basketball player than Prime kobe.

Kobe my be a better scorer but even that is debateable. Lebron has been a more efficient scorer since he's been in the league as well as all the other things he does better than kobe.

Prime Kobe and Lebron are both terrific defenders and I say its hard to compare their impact. While Kobe was a great perimeter defender, Lebron is just more versatile as a defender.

Kobe may have 5 rings but lebron has 4 MVP's which is the definition of a individual award.

Lebron (2008-present) over Kobe at his peak. Lebron in 2006 was almost as good as Kobe was in 2006.

Lebron because he is winning titles. Yes Kobe had more points per game and won scoring titles, but that doesn't mean winning. Only 3 players in the past 40 years have won an NBA championship and a scoring title in the same year: Abdul-Jabbar, Jordan, and Shaq.

Lebron is the better passer, rebounder, and defender. Plus he still averages around 27 points per game, which is top 5 in the league.

I really don't think you can compare them like this... I believe that Kobe Bryant is one of the most spectacular, driven players ever (like Michael Jordan). He wants it so badly. If the Lakers were down by 50 in the fourth quarter, he would try to score 50 by himself... This is what makes he and MJ such great closers. However, the key part is "by himself", how often do you hear that the "Clutch Lakers Win Game"? No, it is always "Clutch Kobe Wins Game", and that's a good thing! But sometimes, he comes up short (so did MJ) because he tried to do too much on his own.

LeBron is a different beast. He does EVERYTHING on the court. He is the PERFECT basketball player. He never plays as a one-man-team, he runs the five-man-team through himself... Often times, games with him don't come down to the clutch because his team has such a big lead, but when they do, he continues to play his brand of basketball and not try to cut the deficit himself... although, he is developing that assassin's mentality. When he was younger and would try to continue to play team ball in the fourth quarter, but when he panicked, he turned the ball over, or missed shots... It's not because he choked, it's because he kept trying to be himself.

Kobe is a killer. LeBron is the law.

Are you talking one-on-one? Because then the answer is Kobe.

Or who would you take on a team?

As a basketball decision, I'll take Lebron. If I need to put butts in seats, I'll take Kobe.

Kobe any day cause he didn't have to go to a superstar team to win rings and also Kobe's shot is beast while lebron is all dunk and rarely does jump shots, imagine O'neal or dennis rod man in their prime guarding lebron. What could lebron do? While kobe would be fading everytime

    Source(s): Kobe any day

    2004-2009 Kobe

Kobe more clutch than LBJ and he's also a more versatile player. Kobe make all of teammates better and can win without major roster adjusting every season.
