from the graph of the quadratic function f(x)=(x+2)^2-9, determine the equation of the axis of symmetry

a. x=9

b. x=-2

c. x=-9

d. x=-9/2

    The axis of symmetry will be a vertical line passing through the vertex of the parabola. This will occur where x + 2 = 0. Equivalently, x = -2

    Vertex = (-2,-9)

    axis is x = -2
