complex mass inside ovary? answers please?
I found out 4 days ago in the ER I have a complex mass growing inside my right ovary. It was measuring 4.20 x 3.39 x 4.0 cm in size. My right ovary that the mass is in measured, 4.6 x 3.75 x 4.35 cm in size. My left ovary measured 2.57 x 1.07 x 1.09 cm in size and there is a small amount of free fluid in that one. I wont be able to get into my gyno until tomorrow and have no more pain meds to help with pain. I haven't been able to have normal bowel movements in over a month. I have to pee every 15 minutes. The pain is increasing by the day. Its located in my right side where the ovary would be, in my lower back and down my legs. Sometimes I get a shooting pain across my stomach to my left side. I have tried to apply a heating pad to the area and I also had some Lidocaine patches for my back that I used on my side. Nothing seems to be helping. I have never had any cyst that I am aware of. I'm 19 years old, and had one pregnancy over a year ago. My family does have a history with pretty much every time of Uterine cancer possible so it worries me a little to find this out. I've been reading everything possible online. But I haven't found anyone talking about having a complex mass inside their ovary. I have also been on birth control for the past year, and had a doctor tell me yesterday that cyst are normal after ovulation. If I'm on the pill, I shouldn't be ovulating right? And is this mass the same as a cyst? Can you explain what a complex mass is? How is it treated? Does it go away on its own or is surgery a must? And if this pain continues should I go to the ER? What is septations within mass mean? What are my chances with my family history that this could be cancerous?
Any feedback will be great. I'm looking for answers to my questions and stories of similar experiences.

Yes, by all means, go to the Emergency Room if the pain continues. If you're having more pain, there is something that's causing that and you shouldn't have to deal with all of that pain.
The best one to explain the mass in your ovary is your doctor. Write down all of your questions and ask her or him for the answers when you see her or him. Take care and feel better. : )

Septated cysts have walls/chambers/separations. Low risk of malignancy according to: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20554314
