Religiously speaking, can a person condition their self (or be conditioned) to become attracted to the same se?

Update:

@Elegua, @Huey, @Lotta, @Mayo, @Logic...I thank you guys for your intellectual honesty, as it was an honest question. Yes, I know it wouldn't be organic, but I was thinking about the psychology of humans and how adaptation and conditioning plays a role? yeah, I know this is not really a question for this section (R

I fail to find the definition of se, but I'm assuming you meant sex. And in that case, no.

Research indicates that sexual orientation is resistant to change. Nonetheless, several

groups and individuals have offered clinical interventions—sometimes called

“conversion” or “reparative” therapies—that purport to change sexual orientation

from homosexual to heterosexual. No scientifically adequate research has shown

that such interventions are effective or safe. Indeed, research suggests the

opposite. An American Psychological Association task force conducting a

systematic review of the peer-reviewed journal literature on sexual orientation

change efforts concluded that efforts to change sexual orientation are unlikely to

be successful and indeed can be harmful.

  • I assume the last word is 'sex'. Yes: by homosexual pedophilia (as far as we know - it would be immoral to test this hypothesis but the evidence points to this conclusion). It's not a religious question - it's just a question about reality. Religion doesn't come into it.

Sorry, no. It's something you're born with, same as being born straight or bisexual. You can have sexual relations with them, but it won't make you homosexual.

@Elegua Please look up the definition of homosexuality. You seem to think it means having any sort of contact with people of the same gender. Typically uneducated.

many will never admit this, but sexuality is influenced to a great extent by 1) early sexual experiences, including molestation, and 2) exposure to pornography or heavily sexualized imagery on television.

conditioning happens all the time---we're just not supposed to say it, because that would run afoul of the "born this way" hypothesis.

Not really. Nor can you condition yourself to be attracted to the opposite sex. Certainly, there's curiosity about it, but that's about the limit.

Yes. Basically what we meditate on and think about and fill our minds with... will have consequences.

We need to be careful what we listen to, and what we believe to be true.

If a person talks a talk, and they are sowing what they are saying. And we will reap what we sow.

Oh…you'd be surprised what a year in prison or on a ship will do to your assumptions regarding what you will and won't find attractive.

Who you are attracted to is not a sin. The sin is what you do with it.
