I have an IP address/ping qstn?
So I kind of asked a similar question the other day. But...I am just wondering how it is that I had pinged a website a few months ago, and based on the IP address the website was located in NY. Now, the IP address is in Virginia? Yet I know its offices are in NY. So how does this happen, and is there any way to find that old address?

IP addresses are dynamic most of the time. What this means is that after certain amounts of time (depending on ISP) the IP address will change. There are historical records but only available to your ISP. In other words, you can't find it out.
