I 'm havingtrouble calculating Acceleration?

I know Acceleration is change in velocity / change in time... but i still need help

Question: Calculate the object's average acceleration from 4 seconds to 9 seconds. At t=4 seconds, the object traveled 100 m/s and at t=9 seconds, the object traveled 0 m/s.

    Average acceleration is

    (0 - 100)/(9 - 4) m/s^2 = - 20 m/s^2

    negative sign indicates deceleration)
