NEVER blow dry your hair, 2" away. You are putting concentrated heat on one area of your head, causing your hair sometimes your hair dryer to BLOW UP or stopped working. Sometimes, I get the hairdryer too closed to my hair, and it causes my scalp to itch! Try about 12" or more away from your hair while blow drying.

Feel your hair, you could tell if they don't feel the same as the other side of your hair. If they feel rough, it's possible you burnt your hair, and you'd know it! Smell of burnt hair, then YES.

No, it can't. However if you've applied hair products to it the heat will make the products evaporate and THAT could in turn be deteriorating to your overall health.

Be careful. :) Good luck and be careful!
