Who has seen the remake of The Sound Of Music last night on TV?
And what do you think about it?

Well it was based on the 1959 play of the sound of music. So it was not a remake of the movie if that's what you meant.
I thought it was okay?
I know they put a lot of time and effort into it, but Carrie Underwood said her lines without ANY feeling at all (I don't care that it was her first time acting).
The Captain was just, weird, and didn't have any chemistry with Maria AT ALL!!
The kids were all great, along with Baroness Shrader.
Max Detwiler (spelling?) was good too.
The nuns were great, and the reverend mother was phenomenal.
It was very boring in my opinion, and I would rather watch the movie.
It was okay overall, but I feel like they should have chosen someone more experienced (in acting) to play Maria, because Carrie just ruined the part, in my opinion, her singing was great though :\
I give Carrie credit for doing it at all, it was a very hard task, but this is all just my opinion, and you don't have to agree with me.

Although America has slammed Carrie Underwood for her limited acting ability, I give her cudos for stepping outside her comfort zone. How many people on this site can say that they EVER attack a challenge head on...crickets. Most people swim in there own pond for their entire lives only DREAMING of what it would feel like to swim in the ocean. Life is too short and Carrie knows it; that's why she believes in taking risks. Plus she has the ultimate supporter on her side...Jesus Christ. Boom!

Not me. I missed it unfortunately. I heard Audra McDonald was great. I plan on buying it on DVD soon.
