Which Hardwares and Software can I upgrade ?
How can I upgrade hardware which are inside the computer?.For the software is it like I am running windows 98 , I buy I CD rom which has a software XP which will allow me to upgrade my 98 to windows XP ?
What hardware can I upgrade ! Graphic card or sound card ! Are there any more upgradable hardware ? I am struggling :(,

If this computer has windows 98 on it, it is quite old. Upgrading a very old system is generally not worth the cost.
You are also limited by a number of factors. An old motherboard can only accommodate an old graphic card. Older systems can not have large hard drives or much memory, so in a sense you'd have to upgrade the motherboard first, then the cpu, the memory, video card, and so on. Essentially it would be a new machine, so it would make more sense just to buy a $400 complete pc.
If you are just doing it as a project that is fine, and it can be a fun learning experience, but don't expect much from it speed-wise.
If you could tell us what model the computer it is, we may be able to tell you it's limitations.
