Why do so many Christians have no understanding of their own doctrine try to debate people?
I read these boards and every other question a Christian tries to answer a question from an obvious eager atheist, but they do not understand their own bible, their own religion and end up losing an argument or explaining doctrine or the bible in an insufficient manner.
This reinforces the atheist belief that Christians are idiots, that the bible and GOD can only be believed in by an uneducated idiot who surrenders all reason and logic and believes in the face of millions of obvious contradictions, logical points and reasons.
Mostly I was talking about things like verse that are questioned or creationism, evolution, science and the bible.
"There own Doctrine" as in they are Christians and the doctrine taught by the bible should be a part of them, Figure of speech.

Is this really the question? Or did God disappoint you along the way? For the most part, all these topics about evolution, pain and suffering in the world, etc mask something deeper. I mean, does evolution vs.the creation story really occupy your mind during the day? Are you always thinking about children who are homeless and are suffering in this world? Does that preoccupy your mind?
Your issue is actually with God, or maybe with God's people, not with people on this board.

What is personal doctrine? Some people just are not chosen by God. My doctrine says not to question God and to help Christians who may not understand, but are doing their best to spread the word of God.

Well, excuse me! Apart from my questions, I have seen many questions go unanswered by Atheists, simply because they cannot argue earnestly. Some of them are Masters at circumventing and others at insulting.
No wonder they believe a myth...
Then what about those PhD's that got saved?

Your basic problem is, you can only view God as subject matter, not as a living entity one can know and relate to on a personal level. I am not going to stop "believing in" my wife, my children, or my God no matter how many "contradictions, reasons and logical points" you throw at me. I would have to be totally irrational to stop "believing in" someone I know personally, for ANY reason.

obviously , you are a very ignorant person , no disrespect , you may be a nice person , but ignorant about any knowledge of truth . Try to seek knowledge in truth rather than letting your emotion run your carnal mind , and i do wish you all the best, that is if you do really want to seek knowledge in truth , and if not,, well enjoy your ignorance while it last

Nobody "wins" or "loses" arguments here. People are just venting for the most part.
"A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still." This applies to 99.9% of the exchanges here on Y!A R&S IMHO.
