feeling sick from anxiety?

for the past few weeks i've been almost constantly having a nauseous, nervous stomach and i think anxiety is the cause. it's only there when i'm feeling nervous or thinking about it, so i'm pretty sure i'm not actually sick or anything. it's a bad cycle because when my stomach feels like this, it just gives me more anxiety! i'm young and stressed and new to this (i've had anxiety all my life, but never felt these certain effects from it) so i'm not sure what to do. does anyone have any ideas on how to help this and maybe reassure me i'm not the only one?

To answer your question, no you are not alone! I suffer from this too.. I've had anxiety for years and I get an upset stomach because of It a lot.. Sometimes I even get physically sick to take the pressure off my stomach.. I always thought the worst part was not knowing if you were genuinely sick or if it was anxiety. But it gets easier I promise! I'd suggest to firstly try some breathing exercises to calm you nerves

And go to your gp.. I went to mine the first time I ever felt like this before I even knew it was anxiety and she suggested I go to a councellor to figure out why I was so anxious all the time... You shud go to see what they recommend you do, they may even give you medication to calm your stomach.

    Hope this helps! :)

I would vomit or dry heave every day from 1st grade until high school. Anxiety is VERY real and its definitely can affect you physically.

For me, it was a combo of things that helped. I'm on a low dosage anti-anxiety med (currently trying to get off it), acupuncture, exercise, and a good diet.

The diet was KEY for me. Certain foods actually trigger anxiety or make it worse. I have to avoid too much sugar or caffeine. These can really feed anxiety. Also, are you sensitive or allergic to any foods? I'm sensitive to wheat. Within a few weeks of getting off of it, my anxiety attacks lessened not only in intensity but also to where I rarely even have them now. Your brain takes a huge portion of everything you consume and it does make a difference what you are eating.

On the cross Christ Jesus shed his blood and he became sin so that you may become righteous in God’s eyes. He wants you to experiment joy, peace, and justice. That’s why he came, but it’s up to you if you want to take the decision to change and believe in Jesus Christ. He said if you want to experience it first you must repent. Take a decision not only to ask God to forgive you, but make a decision to turn away from your sins. When you do it the kingdom of God won’t be in the reach of your hands, but will come within you Jesus said.

“Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in prayer asking for the forgiveness of my sins. I confess with my mouth and I believe with my heart that Jesus Christ is Your son, and that He died on the cross at Calvary that I might be forgiven and have eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven. Father, I believe that Jesus rose from the dead and I ask You right now to come into my life and be my personal Lord and Savior. I repent of my sins and will worship You all the days of my life. Write my name in the book of life. In the name of the father, son, and holy spirit amen.”
