Unexplained weight gain in distance runner?

I am literally at a breaking point. I fractured my femur like 9 weeks ago so was our for Cross Country Season for College. I run cross country, track and field. Over the summer I was 105 pounds, since my injury I am up to 119. I really only took 5 days off in the beginning and went right into the pool, elliptical, and now run up to 5-8 miles on the tredmill. I eat really healthy. My weight just keeps fluctuating like crazy. Last week I was down to 111 and in a week that passed I was up to 120. I am doing so much and trying so hard to lose weight. I have no idea how to and why nothing is not working. I only eat like 1200 calories or so. It's terrible. What can I do? Why is this happening? My thigh muscles are huge. I have bigger breasts than ever. My arms are blowing up and my legs have stretch marks everywhere. It makes no sense. My clothes don't fit, and I do not feel myself when I run.

All that exercise and you only consume 1200 calories?

I think you have found your answer there. When you lower calories below what your body needs, it signals your body to survival mode. To store everything you consume as, yes, fat. This is why below 1500 calories is not recommended. You lose your muscles and gain weight rapidly, even if you consume 2000 calories. For now, I would intake 2000 calories. You will lose weight. Do you know how many calories 8 mile run burns? 800 calories. 1200 calories minus 800 calories gives you a total net calorie intake of 400 calories. On top of that add all the walking you do on a daily basis, talking and digesting food, etc. You have consumed zero calories.

    Panic mode....

I have lost weight eating 2000 calories and on some days, even higher. I am maintaining now and consume up to 5,000 calories.

I exercise over 3 hours 4 times a week. High Intensity interval training followed by weight training. I have not gained any weight and it's been a week.

Your body will continue to gain weight unless it knows that there is food available. Consume 2500 calories everyday until this stops. Eat something every 2 hours. Ensure your body that there in no famine, and it will eventually stop gaining.
