Asahi Pentax 50mm 1.4 Vs. Canon 50mm 1.8?

Aside from the aperture difference, and material used to make it, which is the better lens? I have both, but can only shoot with the Canon, so my judgement on the Asahi Pentax 50mm 1.4 is very very limited.

Update:

The reason why I'm asking is because I was going to get an adapter for the Pentax

Both are great lenses but if you can't use the Pentax it may as well be a ham sandwich!

What is the point of your looking at the Pentax lens if you have a Canon camera? Either buy a Pentax body if you want to use the Pentax lens, or sell the Pentax lens.

    What!!!???

Pentax mount lenses won't fit on a Canon camera.

So the Pentax lens would certainly be more useful as a door stop.

    The Canon is better.

A lens you can't shoot with is an expensive paper weight.
