Which one is correct: to participate "in" or "to" an adventure?

Eric Aloha, thank you for the advice, but before I posted this question I had done everything you said, and there are websites on which you can find "participate in" and websites on which "participate to" is used. Hence, I posted the question here.

    Let me give you some advice. Next time you want to know something like this, put the phrase in quotes and google it. If you see millions of hits, then you know thats how native enish speakers say it. Thats what will happen if you google "participate in". If you google "participate to", you may also get a lot of hits, but not as many. And if you read what they say, you will see that they are a different kind of grmmar construction than what you are thinking of. Or a few of the hits may be foreigners writing incorrectly ;)
