can someone tell me what a troll is ?

Two defininitions:

1) Scandinavian folklore : a mythical, cave-dwelling being depicted in folklore as either a giant or a dwarf, typically having a very ugly appearance.

2) A sh*t disturber on internet forums.

As far as I know there are two different types of trolls ; the mythological trolls and the Y!A trolls.

A troll in Scandinavian folklore is one of a class of supernatural creatures that dwell in caves or mountains and are depicted either as dwarves or giants.

A Y!A troll is one of a class of Yahoo askers and answerers that prowl the vastness of Yahoo forums creating issues and problems ...... also report the violations of the community guidelines.

A fairy like being originating in scandinavian folklore that lived in small family groups far from humans. They lived in the rocks, mountains or caves. They were believed to practice kidnapping and cannibalism . Some stories had them to be ugly and in other stores they looked normal. It has been suggested that the ancient folklore surrounding trolls comes from modern man's encounter with the neanderthals in Europe 60,000 to 30,000 years ago.

A "̮Troll is like when say you say like you say something is fake when its not.. Or just annoying people like trapping people in corners etc ... (Cod). Not a good expaliation but Hope this helps
