Need some help with my RAM?
Right now I have : DDR3 Kingston PC3-10700 (667 MHz), I am trying to figure out if I can put it on my ASUS AMD A55 motherboard. Will it work?
The ASUS AMD A55 motherboard said DDR3 and the RAM I pulled off my old PC (currently using it now) has DDR3 RAM so I figured it would work with it.
Dylan, how sure are you? money is a bit tight due to the holidays and I would like to game on my new rig without buying different RAM.
I really don't have the money to buy new RAM, I just want to play

It should work, here is a check list:
Are both the motherboard and RAM DDR3: yes
Is the motherboard compatible with the frequency(1333 mhz): yes a google search for the A55 chipset says it can handle way higher frequencys
Is the motherboard able to handle the RAM capacity: a google search says it can handle 16 gb RAM modules, so yes
Asus is a good motherboard manufacturer and they support basically all RAM sticks.
Btw the RAM stick you have right now is actually 1333 mhz not 667, DDR3 doubles the original frequency hence the name (----->Double<------Data Rate 3) I think Dylan forgot about this which is why he said it will not work. Only DDR2 and DDR1 has frequency's that low(667 mhz)

No, it won't work!!
because your motherboard used a DDR3 2250(O.C.)/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz
this one will work: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...
your DDR3 Kingston PC3-10700 (667 MHz) won't really work as you expected but try to use it as much as you can!!
and yes, I'm 100% sure!!
~it's better to use brand new stuff than second-hand stuff~
I know that by experience!!
