how do I increase my weightlifting?

I'm 15 on the highschool football team 5'11 150

bench 165

power clean 165

squat 225

I have been weightlifting in my class for 6 months, how do I bench and power clean 200 and squat 300. Any advice? We do weightlifting based on repetitions and percentages.

Bro, I started weightlifting at 17 just because I never did it for sports or competition. I started off light and then moved up into heavier weight but I did it responsibly and effectively. You are a young guy so with you are lifting now is a good start. But if you want to gain more power and weight than I suggest a few things.

    1. start a journal of your reps, sets, and the exercise you are doing.

    2. Purchase weight gainer and also a good supplement is creatine. Also your food intake is a key factor to get better gains and noticing your goals.

    3. Take it the way you are going right now. Move up every time you lift during your workout.

Meaning when you do squats at 225 for 6 reps than you rest for 1 to 2 an d than you put a 1/2 lb. plate or 5 lb. plate for 1 to 3 reps and when you are doing another squat day you will be able to move up to 235 or240 and so on.

Good luck and be safe in the gym.

A quick fix for bench press that I've discovered is to try and bend the bar away from you while you push it up.

Train low reps, high weight and a lot of sets for everything. Eat a lot of fat and protein and take some creatine. Studies have proven that it's safe if you stay hydrated and you should be keeping hydrated anyway if you're going to work out regularly
