DIY gifts for xmas? Tips and ideas please?

My mom just got home from the hospital a few months ago, so I want to overwhelm her with gifts! She also almost never gets any gifts on xmas (or christmas, whatever floats the boat) because our family isn't poor, but we aren't wealthy in any way, and none of my siblings (or me) ever know what to get her.

Only problem, I'm short on money, and I want to actually make stuff she will enjoy and use. I think for her main gift Imma paint a pic of Beauty and the Beast (because she really likes that movie) but I want to give her other stuff too.

Examples: home made bath salts, home made face scrubs, painted coffee cups etc.

    clothing, jewelry, or my personal favorite you can make a collage ( probably didn't spell that right) of all the things he likes, or of him and his family.
