High Blood Pressure at 15 ?
So one morning at school , I took a health screening . I could almost swear they wrote 155/75 for my blood pressure . I was completely calm . I am 15 years old , is this a normal bp ? I am 115.5 , and 5'5" . Very high blood pressure runs in the family .. Do you think I could have it too ? Should I talk to my dad about it or go see a doctor ? Also , can a high school nurse check blood pressure ?

High blood pressure has a high genetic component. I know of a girl who has high blood pressure at 11 years old and is on medication for it.
You are at 155/75 . The 155 is slightly high. The 75 is o.k.
Just watch your salt and cafeeine, and sugar intake. I would get my blood pressure checked once more before going to a doctor. Some pharmacy or drug stores have free blood pressure testers in their store.

That is very high but the doctor would have told you if it was that high. Those kind of numbers don't go unsaid. If you're that worried go to a drugstore like CVS or Walgreens and they have the blood pressure machines in the back and you can check it yourself

If this is a health screening they should have told you your bp was high.
Anyway, bp cycles throughout the day, you could have been nervous, had a stressful week or had too much salt.

It was probably nothing, if it was of real concern they would have notified your doctor, and maybe you read it wrong and it was 125 over 75. Besides, you can always check again, and if its the same fore higher bring it up to your doctor or parents.
