What breed is the kitten we found?

I know he's just a domestic short-medium hair, but he's very lovely. Blond(dilute). Tabby markings, but circular on his sides. I have seen this before, but cannot find it on the breed list.

    Domestic Shorthair is his breed. c: You're looking for his coat pattern and colour, and I think he is a cream classic tabby.

    The color is cream (the dilute of red/orange) tabby. Pattern is classic. There are no "medium" haired cats - they are either short or long hair. So you have a cream tabby domestic longhair.

    Tabby is the pattern on the coat; not a breed.

    BTW Charlotte a SPOTTED tabby is not just broken stripes. Its very much a spot; look at the coat patterns on an Egyptian Mau, Ocicat or Bengal and you will see its not a broken mackerel.

    The coat is called Classic Tabby. If you post pictures on his coat I can tell you what his colour is. There's no blonde in cats. Dark orange is Red and light orange is Cream. So this is probably either a Red Classic Tabby http://www.mcbfa.org/colorredclassic.jpg or Cream Classic Tabby http://www.seregiontica.org/Colors/tabby/creamclas...

    As for breed, you already said what it is - it's a domestic - no breed or mix of breeds just like over 97% of cats. You don't find stray kittens of particular breeds out roaming the streets.

    Holly is right to describe your cat as the classic tabby pattern which can also resemble a butterfly when flattened with a swirl on the shoulder & one on the flank both sides.

    The other tabby patters are;

    Ticked which looks like wild rabbit known as agouti, showing no stripes (only on face & limbs) or swirls or spots.

    Mackerel - this has thin wavey vertical stripes along the sides just like a Mackerel fish.

    Spotted, my favourite, which has spots instead of stripes, really it's just broken stripes.

    Source(s): 40+ years cat owning & 10 years breeding Bengals.
