Most people are going to tell you negative things about Jehovah's Witnesses. But that does not surprise us. Why?? Because Jesus said that his true followers would be persecuted.

John 15:20, 21 - "20 Keep in mind the word I said to you: A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have observed my word, they will also observe yours. 21 But they will do all these things against you on account of my name, because they do not know the One who sent me."

But that does not stop us from trying to help people, and it does not stop our love for Jehovah God!

So....... Opinion on Jehovah's Witnesses?? - This is coming straight from the horse's mouth! Lol - Hope it helps!

Christian - The Latinized Greek term Khri‧sti‧a‧nos′, found only three times in the Christian Greek Scriptures, designates followers of Christ Jesus, the exponents of Christianity.—Ac 11:26; 26:28; 1Pe 4:16.

This is How the Bible Describes True Christians:

    1. God’s servants base their teachings on the Bible.

(2 Timothy 3:16-17) All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.

    2. Those who practice the true religion worship only Jehovah and make his name known.

(Psalm 83:18) That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

(John 17:6) “I have made your name manifest to the men you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have observed your word.

    3. God’s people show genuine, unselfish love for one another.

(John 13:35) By this all will know that YOU are my disciples, if YOU have love among yourselves.”

(1 John 4:20-21) If anyone makes the statement: “I love God,” and yet is hating his brother, he is a liar. For he who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot be loving God, whom he has not seen. 21 And this commandment we have from him, that the one who loves God should be loving his brother also.

    4. True Christians accept Jesus Christ as God’s means of salvation.

(Acts 4:12) Furthermore, there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.”

(John 3:36) He that exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life; he that disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.

    5. True worshipers are no part of the world.

(John 18:36) Jesus answered: “My kingdom is no part of this world. If my kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be delivered up to the Jews. But, as it is, my kingdom is not from this source.”

(Romans 13:1) Let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God.

(Acts 5:29) In answer Peter and the [other] apostles said: “We must obey God as ruler rather than men.

(Mark 12:17) Jesus then said: “Pay back Caesar’s things to Caesar, but God’s things to God.” And they began to marvel at him.

    6. Jesus’ true followers preach that God’s Kingdom is mankind’s only hope.

(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

(Psalm 146:3) Do not put YOUR trust in nobles, Nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs.

On the basis of what we have just considered, ask yourself: ‘What religious group bases all its teachings on the Bible and makes known Jehovah’s name? What group practices godly love, exercises faith in Jesus, is no part of the world, and proclaims that God’s Kingdom is the only real hope for mankind? Of all the religious groups on earth, which one meets all these requirements?’ The facts clearly show that it is Jehovah’s Witnesses.—Isaiah 43:10-12.

Jehovah's Witnesses certainly are TRUE Christians - practicing the truth of the Bible!

Most people think they are jolly nice folk, but just wish they wouldn't bother them, calling at their homes to try to convert them to the JW denomination.

Given seven years of reading questions and answers about JWs on this site, it seems that the greatest irritation against them is sparked by JWs copying and pasting big chunks from their Society's literature. There's an example of that here, with 6 points claiming to show how only JWs are true Christians. Well, that strikes most people as incredible arrogance - that only a tiny handful of people in the world claim that they are the only true Christians today. And that you must join them to survive Armageddon.

I know that is what bothers me greatly, so I keep trying to point them to the Bible where it states clearly that only those calling upon the name of Jesus will be saved (Acts 4:12 & 3:16 & 2:38). Where Jesus said to His followers that they would be HIS witnesses - that is, Jesus' witnesses (Acts 1:8). Where only those who are indwelt (anointed) with the Holy Spirit belong to Jesus (Romans chapter 8, first half.)

My opinion is that until they start preaching the good news about Jesus Christ, instead of how to survive Armageddon, they will remain spiritually blind and dead to just who Jesus actually is. AiH

A small part of a much larger group of people who have been tricked into believing in Pauline Christianity, An 1700 year old Roman scam designed to subvert the teachings of Jesus.

Individually the majority are fine. Their doctrines I find questionable and because it's their 'duty' to convert us to those doctrines, this is our main contact point, therefore one tends to form a negative opinion of them.

Like most sects the majority are simply annoying, while the extremists are lunatics.

I don't think highly of their beliefs, but as persons it depends on the person.

That said, they don't take no kindly when you ask them not to return proselytising. (My mother lives across the street from a Kingdom Hall.)

Despite my mother's prostestations to them to leave her alone, they would not. So, taking the matter into my own hands, the next time they came around her house I answered it in the nude.

    They never came back.

It's just another religious cult, mostly they are just annoying and not harmful.

It's quite stupid to think that your belief is the only right one and everyone else will go to hell.

I personally believe that they are the false prophets that Jesus warns about in the Bible.
