help with making African food?!?

i have a school project and i have senegal and i was going to make banana fritters

a lot of recipes say to mash the banana and stir it in the batter

but the pictures i see looks like the banana is fried not mixed with the batter

which is the right way and the best tasting way?

    Fritters are generally made with mashed bananas, but they could be dipped into the batter like you would like a piece of fish or a sausage, or even made like a corn dog.

    They are going to taste like the ingredients the recipe says of course, we can't tell you that.

    For best tasting fritters plus additional fat n calories these r fried - w lots of garlic. :)

    But always mash first and then made into cakes.

    I like to bake them as well.

    Use plantains if u can.
