Why wont my Xbox 360 connect to the internet?

My router is connected to the internet without question. My younger brother has a 360 of his own and he's having no issues playing GTA 5 online. I was just watching Netflix for a majority of the day, when suddenly a message pops up saying "this content could not be loaded." I've asked xbox support on Twitter, and I called and got no help from them, so I'm wondering if anyone on here has had the same issues, and if they've been fixed. This only started recently, within the past couple of months. As I'm typing this, my Xbox finally reconnected to live after being out for 30 minutes.
