How dare Pope Francis tell the truth about Conservative Ideology, what was he thinking?
Pope Francis the leader of the largest Christian denomination in the world, the Catholic Church and spiritual leader of the 1.6 billion Catholics has dared to tell the truth about today's Conservative ideology. He has condemned the "Trickle Down" economic failed theories and policies of the Right. He correctly noted that never in history has it worked and it's very principles are flawed. He pretty much endorsed the Obama policies of helping the poor and middle class rather than waiting for the so called benevolent wealthiest folks trickling down on the poor.
We already knew these policies don't work. Remember that Republican slogan of cutting taxes to the "Job Givers"......how'd that work out...lol?
As a nation we have progressed to the point where we take care of our elderly and the poorest folks in society, our sick and disabled. Yet Republicans have never supported the Social Safety Net, not Social Security, not Medicare, not Food Stamps, not Health Care, not even things like unemployment security that folks pay into! All the things that have helped America become number one in the world. All were Democratic ideas.
Republicans have tried to cut every one of these programs, all the while cutting taxes from the Richest. Clearly not the teachings of Christianity as the Pope points out and as the Catholic Bishops Association pointed out when the Radical Right Ryan Budget came out, they said it had little to do with Christian teachings and more to do with Ayn Rand's teachings.
What was the Pope doing when he told the truth about these less than Christian like policies to Americans? Did he want to upset our Right Wing Conservative "Christians" or CINO's as some call them (Christians in name only). Is he right when he says these policies are bad for society? Is the Pope promoting Class Warfare as some Republicans say?
The largest job gains in last 30 years were under Clinton who raised taxes. In fact the largest gains in history occured under the 2 highest brackets in history under Eisenhower...90% rates and again under a 70% bracket in the 1960's. Under Bush #2 we got a net job loss after his tax cuts...lol! Where are these mystical jobs after that tax break one of the largest in history?

Conservatives are already anti-women, anti-minority, anti-gay, anti-liberal, anti-science, anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, and anti-education.
Now we can add the Roman Catholic church to that list.
It's like somebody is paying conservatives to become as unpopular and segregated as possible. This is sure to win elections.

Wrong Again. He said making money without helping people is bad. Making money is how you help people. The American system is the best for making money and HELPING PEOPLE.
Christians in name only go to church. Christians to get your vote (Democrats) go in Television.
Republicans supported Social Security, passed the Voting rights act with more votes than Dem's and freed the slaves.

I don't think he condemned conservative ideology as a whole, just certain aspects of capitalism. I'm a conservative, and I agree with his points.
He did not endorse Obama policies. Being against capitalism doesn't automatically make him a liberal.
Here is a good article on it.

Just bear in mind the Catholic Church gave tacit support to the Nazi's in the last century--so--how much the popes opinion is worth is quite open.

Yeah, and my protestant brethren in the middle ages killed tens of thousands of catholics to get their idol worshipping religion out of town. Like I really care about what the head of the catholic church has to say!

Well, he should probably be a little bit more impartial since I've never seen socialist policies working in history before too.

I know what you mean. Cons want their religion to be accepted, but nobody else is even tolerable.
