Your join an aerobics class at the local fitness center. The cost is $6 per class plus $25 for initial membership.
Write an equation that shows the relationship between the number of classes n you attend and the amount you pay p
P=pay
N=classes
Thew amount you pay will depend on two things: 1) The initial membership fee, and 2) the cost for each individual class.
So, you will pay $25 + $6 for each class.
If you take N classes you will pay $6N
therefore the equation is as follows:
P = 25 + 6N That is the first answer.
Now for when N = 1,2,5,8 and 10.
Here is how the table should look:
Input >>> Output
1 >>> 25 + 6(1) = 25 + 6 = 31
2 >>> 25 + 6(2) = 25 + 12 = 37
5 >>> 25 + 6(5) = 25 + 30 = 55
8 >>> 25 + 6(8) = 25 + 48 = 73
10 >>> 25 + 6(10) = 25 + 60 = 85
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more help. I'm on YM or by email. Best of luck.
