What if Noah and his family had encountered a two year old child desperately clinging to some flotsam... ?

...begging them to take her aboard? Would they have?

What if she managed to cling onto their ark? Would they have pushed her off?

What would be the moral thing to do here? What would God have wanted? Are they the same?

Update:

Where are you getting that, GC?

Update 2:

So, G C, this two-year-old was condemned to a horrible death because she didn't have the foresight to reject the teachings of her family and society? Also, I'm still waiting to hear where you got the God-locked door theory. Is that in the Bible?

    They wouldn't have...

God decided that all of his creation (apart from Noah's family and the animals he saved) were evil.

    Babies included.

    Nice bloke.

There's a YouTube video in which WLC justifies his god's psychopathic behavior (as usual). dprjones uses videos of a tsunami, with a child's song about Noah's ark (at about 9:30), to show the difference between the story, as told to children, and the reality of people drowning. It's incredibly moving, and disgusting to think that such a story is being taught as a morally justifiable act. Oh, this video's not for the squeamish.

God shut the door and Noah could not open it, no matter what. He had family and friends out there, too, you know.

Edit: Noah preached for over a hundred years. Noah was the only man, with the exception of his children and wife, who believed God was true and that life was inside the Ark. Don't you know he had cousins, friends, etc. who did not believe the truth, but believed a lie to be true...the lie that life was outside of the Ark.

Did you read what 'Ima' wrote that the Ark was impossible to build? The dimensions of the Ark are the same as any sea going craft built today and that is where we learned how to build them.

It is the same today. Life is only in the church, yet how many people do you know reject that, go through their life acting as if they are right, when God has said over and over and we try to persuade over and over, that eternal life is only IN the church.

    Babies rock!

Save the child first then figure out what's the right thing to do next.

Let the historical chips fall where they may...

God will help those who help the children.

    They ignored them all.

Of course, it's a myth. There is zero evidence of a global flood, and building the ark is an engineering impossibility.

Yes, but not if the child was clinging to jetsam, only flotsam.
