Cobalt chloride test paper and Carbon Dioxide?

So I'm doing a lab for Chemistry and I'm so confused. It says "While the candle is still burning, invert a large beaker (1000 mL) over the flame for a few seconds. Test any liquid formed in the beaker with cobalt chloride test paper." What liquid? and what is supposed to happen? After it says check for any charred deposits...

Cobalt Chloride test paper is use to indicate the presence of water. The paper turns from blue to pink if it comes in contact with water molecules.

A burning candle produces water vapour, carbon dioxide and carbon in the form of soot. Some of the water vapour is likely to condense on the inside of the inverted beaker.
