Why are my shrimp doing this?

10 gallon planted tank, with heater and filter.

1 betta, 5 neons an oto cat, and 2 ghost shrimp

Why when I feed the fish do the ghost shrimp literally swim to the top and eat the food on the surface just like the other fish? I've had shrimp for a long time and never really seen this, they seem to be able to swim just fine at the top and grab a piece of food and sink back to the bottom.

Am I not feeding the, enough or are they just smart and figured out that's where the food is?

Ghost shrimp seem to have an insatiable appetite. I don't know where they put it all.

They are so busy eating all the time I've wondered when they sleep.

They grub at the bottom and eat anything available at the top. It's quite fun to watch.

Just feed your fish normal. the gs get it and one way or another have plenty of food.

Ghost shrimp are excellent at keeping the tank clean of uneaten food.
