25. True, assault was attacking someone. You could attack someone without touching them, as in screaming, yelling and being offensive. Battery was touching them to cause injury, such as beating them up.
30. reasonable. If you hear the deceased was threatening to beat you up, so you hunt him down and blow him away, that is not reasonable, there was no act to indicate the deceased took a step to actually harm you. If the deceased was pounding on your door with a gun in his hand, that is reasonable.
