Anybody else glad RG3 benched for the rest of the season?

First off i have to say i have nothing against RG3 or anything he's a tremendous talent.

but i have always been a Kirk cousins since his days at michigan state. And i believe he deserves a chance to be a starter in the league. and i hoping he will be impressive in these three games and when he's finally a free agent some team will want him. but thats my opinion what are yours?

Well...if you think about it...they drafted Kirk cousins for a reason. I mean why draft RG3 and bring I. Another rookie QB?

They couldn't just bring in a veteran but it could have need for a number of reasons.

If cousins plays good...i smell a QB controversy.

Cousins played well in relief of RG3 last season but the team, overall, played well last year. The only benefit I see with this move is the fact it will give Cousins some experience in a game situation and keep Griffin -- an obvious franchise player -- from getting injured.

Anyone who thinks this move will turn the team around is either delusional or a member of the Shanahan clan.

I'm a Redskins fan and I think they should have made this move much earlier in the season. Who knows if they would have started Kirk Cousins from day one they could have had a much better season and been contenders. I don't think it was fare to start RGIII from week one because it was obvious he wasn't healthy and he's only a 2nd year player who needs a full off season of practice and pre-season games which he didn't get.

Actually, it depends on his work ethic, especially with his eating and exercise habits, during every offseason. If Robert Griffin III eats healthy, and exercises by doing a lot of running every day, he will get into better shape, which will greatly improve his chances of becoming an elite NFL quarterback in the future.

I dont think he is a "tremendous talent" at all. He's a really fast runner that is an average passer, and when you cant run an offense where he's scrambling then you are left with a average QB.

He was overrated and injury prone.. Time to give Cousins a shot....
