How to get into American colleges from Canada?
I'm not a Canadian citizen (Korean), but I'm currently studying in Montreal, Canada. I'm in 10th grade so Im around the age to plan my future. My dream is to get into USC more than any other college (Go Trojans!). But I have no idea how to get into American colleges. I do extracurricular activities (football, basketball). And my grades are above average. I speak 3 languages: French, English, Korean Quebec has a different school system than the rest of canada because we have cegep. Help is greatly appreciated.

Contact the admissions department for the US college or look at their web site for admission requirements. Typically, you'd have to arrange to take SAT tests. You'll also $40,000 or so per year in tuition, books, fees, and living costs When you have your letter of acceptance from the college, you can apply for your F-1 (student visa). You'll need to submit your letter of acceptance, bank statements, answer medical questions, and undergo background checks.
If you have an extra $120,000 to pay for a four year bachelor's degree, high SAT scores, and a good application form... I'm sure they would be happy to have you.

Write the SAT (www.collegeboard.com) and then apply.
The instructions will be on the web site of the US school you want to attend.
You can still get Canadian student aid for US schools and as long as you are a full time student there you will be covered by Canadian medicare.
Just be prepared for it to cost like $35,000 to $50,000 per year..
My Canadian daughter transferred to a US school after a year in BC. Then got a near full ride in the USA for her masters and PhD. However, it still cost the family like $100,000 for her 3 years of undergrad study in the USA.
