Solution for foot and ankle pain?

I recently started a job where I am standing for at least 6 hours a day but sometimes 8 hours or more. I've had arthritis for over a decade now and my feet pain during and after work is bad. Not a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10 but I'd say at 7 or 8. I would say the pain starts in the bottom of the foot and in the ankle as well and shoots upward. I've taken Tylenol however this fails to take away my foot pain. I also have a nice comfortable pair of shoes with gel inserts but that doesn't help either.

Anyone have any ideas on what I could be doing to help with the pain?
