Light and Darkness Dragon vs Wind-Up Rabbit?

He was LDD on field and I summon Rabbit, I choose to activate EFF and he negates it, then on his turn, I tried to activate it again and he said I couldn't because Rabbit says you can only activate his effect only once while on the field, but its effects were negated, so shouldn't I be able to activate my effect again on my opponents turn?

    No, you cannot.

You attempted to activate the effect.

Which can only be done once while that card is face up on the field.

The reason you can keep dodging with rabbit, is because it leaves the field, and so it's effect is reset.

It's the same how if they solemn judgment your special summon, you still can't pot of duality. Because it has been recognized you have attempted to.

Yes you should be able to activate it because its effect was negated so technically its effect wasn't activated and your turn had passed which meant that it was a new turn so if its effect reads "you can only activate it once per turn" You should have been able to activate it
