    A rectangle has 4 sides. (Which is why each is doubled below.)

    Width = x

    Length = 2x + 6

    2x + 2(2x+6) = 108

    2x + 4x + 12 = 108

    6x + 12 = 108

    6x = 96

    x = 16

    Therefore:

    Width = 16

    Length = 38

    Proof:

    2(16) + 2(38)

    32 + 76 = 108

    2L + 2W = 108

    L + W = 54

    Length = 2W + 6

    2W + 6 + W = 54

    3W + 6 = 54

    3W = 48

    W = 16

    If the width is 16, then 2W + 6 = 38.

    38 + 38 + 16 + 16 = 108
