Fancy dress ideas for a party?

I'm 14, my hair is down to my bum :) I'd prefer to go as a recognisable character from something and maybe something pretty/girly because I always feel so frumpy. I'm okay with sewing a costume or buying things to adapt but I can't get a wig because it's such short notice. Thank you friends :) xxx

First off you look lovely. There are a lot of options for you, but it all depends on what you feel comfortable in, and what the party is. A short glitzy, flouncy dress can look great at nearly any occasion but so can florals or lace. Do a color quiz online,which matches your skin tone, and find what colors look best on you. Relating any dress to a recognizable character only takes a little bit of imagination, and a Disney Princess adaptation might be what you're looking for.
