Philomena, will this be the next trendy name in 2014?

With the recent release of the new Hollywood movie “Philomena” do you think that the name will set a new trend in 2014?

According to the SSA statistics http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames the name hasn’t been in the top 1000 baby names since the last 13 years. It also doesn’t show up in Nameberry’s list of popular baby names http://nameberry.com/search/popular_names . Finally, the name is ranked 3,233 in popularity within the general population of the US, according to the web site MyNameStats.com http://www.mynamestats.com/First-Names/P/PH/PHILOM... So the name is currently not popular, but not uncommon either.

There is also a resurgence of people choosing traditional names that were once thought to be old fashioned. The name Philomena fits in this category.

Given its traditional roots and its new found popularity gained from its association with the Hollywood movie, will this name be the next big trend?

Update:

I stand corrected, Philomena is a British Film

I don't think it will ever be trendy. Philomena is a kind of mysterious with a hidden beauty and prestige and many people don't see its attractive side. People appreciate more frilly names that glow femininity (unfortunately). I think its popularity might increase, but I don't think it will be trendy.

I really hope it doesn't! Philomena is a very bad name in my opinion. But names that were considered 'old' are so trendy now that I don't doubt Philomena will be one of these.

In all honesty I believe the names Anna and Elsa will become more common because of the Disney movie Frozen. Philomena to me won't become that popular at least not in the US.

Philomena is not a "Hollywood" film at all. Its a great British film.
