There was a great guy with a name similar to that who died a few days ago.
His last name is Mandela.
From all that I have read and heard,
Nelson Mandela was a great man.
Among the most amazing things Mr. Mandela did was restrain himself from seeking revenge against his abusers when he got out of prison after 27 years of incarceration as a political prisoner. He became president of South Africa, and he then had plenty of power to go after his former captors. Amazingly, he did not do that. In Africa, and in some other parts of the world, people suffer horribly because the political leaders abuse their power to carry out many personal vendettas. Mandela did not do that, and this shows his greatness more than any other thing.
Whether YOU are uncool or not is unclear.
I suspect that if you care,
then you are not so horribly uncool.
The most uncool don't care at all what others think.
Your question shows that you are NOT one of those kinds of uncool people.
I am Catholic.
Peace be with you.

Not at all....... From the poorest of countries to the richest of nations, education is the key to moving forward in any society. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Nelson Mandela........ An ode to the fact that racism is not passed on genetically, but passed on through teachings.
“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”

Nelson Mandela did not follow biblical ideas of justice. He just had his own ideas about "forgiveness" which threw justice out of the window. All those people who killed/raped Africans in apartheid should have been sentenced to death, instead he has a care bear session with them.
And also allowed all the Afrikaanas to keep all the things they stole. This is why I don't believe in Mandela. He believed in himself ("I am the captain of my soul"etc) and so he failed to bring true restoration to his people.
For the elementary school kids above, "believing" and "believing IN" something are 2 completely different things.

Nelson Mendela actually existed, so no one is asking you to "believe" just to acknowledge that which he did in South Africa.
- ?Lv 77 years ago
you doubt he existed?
you doubt he was a central figure in the fight against apartheid?
you doubt his presidency was dignified and productive?
dont believe in ......
yep, very odd
if on the other hand you simply disagree with his politics or other peoples reverence of him
well, I suppose youre entitled to that
though I do wonder if you have a clue about what we're discussing

Not believing in Nelson Mandela is not like sayin u dont believe in god, its like sayin you dont believe in the sun. Its idiocy.

I wouldn't think so, everyone has a right to believe what they do, and if you want to believe that a person does not exist, who actually DID, that's up to you.

yes you are very uncool
