Update:

I know its broad... lol its a question on a quiz... but I cant find an answer... It is soo broad and the cdc website doesnt really help....

Update 2:

Ive looked and all of them are saying the outbreaks have gone down drastically( in recent years) due to vaccinations....And even though there is no vaccine for TB, you receive medication that prevent from you developing it... google each disease separately and make sure you include "surveillance", "statistics", or "epidemiology". Sorry I can't help more now but I have to go to work.

    PS. Measles= rubeola

    German measles= rubella

    Chicken pox=varicella

    Here is an example

This is a very broad question, difficult to answer without being more specific. Among those that come quickly to mind are viral infections like hepatitis C and Norovirus. Since the appearance of AIDS in the early 80's, we have seen increases in many diseases that were rare or uncommon, such as Cryptococcal encephalitis, and Kaposi's sarcoma. Chickenpox has decreased since widespread vaccination, but Measles, and Whooping cough have increased as more people forego vaccination. Go to the CDC website. They have lots of resources.

All except TB have a vaccine. Google "increased incidence of _______" for each disease. Write down the statistics and compare them. I really want *you* to do the work. It's *your* quiz, Goob, not ours.

@JayM, why is this so difficult? She gave us the choices she was given.

They aren't the same. None are common since vaccines became mandatory. There have been smalloutbreaks of some of these illnesses, also pertussis. Apparently the vaccine doesn't last forever.

All of this data is available from the MMWR. The journal is available online and will tell you exactly how many cases of these infectious diseases there are each year.
