How much should I get paid to nanny?

How much should I get paid to nanny? My current boss of the job I am leaving wants to hire me as a nanny for his 2month old son. He said I can bring my 2 year old boy with me and I can do this at my house and his house. It will be about 20-25 hours a week and not a set schedule. He's offering me $9 an hour under the table. Is that enough or could I ask for more?

Hard to say without knowing where you live but at that age, as you know, they just sleep, eat and poop plus being able to bring your child would save you the hassle/ expense of needing your own babysitter.

I think that it's a fair price as you won't be living with them, also he's doing you a favor by allowing you to bring your child along as well so that you don't have to hire your own babysitter.
