These days seems to me people are looking for answers. Seems some are craving knowledge about God. I think this is good for I am the same way!

The Bible if read like a novel, will not be understood. The Holy Spirit, works on the faith of the believer or reader, to interpret the meaning of the particular verse or paragraph. I learnt this personally. I read the whole Bible a couple times, and I am no slouch, as far as Literature is concerned, but many years later, as my faith grew, my understanding became clearer. We have to ask God the Holy Spirit, to read with understanding or else it becomes a spectacle and that is why, a lot of people, base the bible as newspaper or novel concept and that attitude makes it difficult, for them to interpret and it is good that they come on the forum, so we can all share the snippets of what we can teach each other. Peace and blessings

Because it is a complex book, and unless there are someone to help, most miss the point. For example turn the account in Acts.
(Acts 8:29-31) 29 So the spirit said to Philip: “Approach and join yourself to this chariot.” 30 Philip ran alongside and heard him reading aloud Isaiah the prophet, and he said: “Do you actually know what you are reading?” 31 He said: “Really, how could I ever do so, unless someone guided me?” And he entreated Philip to get on and sit down with him.
The man had the books of the Bible. He was a convert to the Jewish faith, and had both the time and money to travel to Jerusalem. Yet, unlike the people who had to have someone read the scriptures weekly at the synagogue, he had the book of Isaiah in hand. Yet, he did not understand what Isaiah was speaking about.
While today it is easy for people to own a complete copy of the Bible, they still suffer from a lack of ones like Philip to help them to understand what they have. Jehovah spoke of the difference between those who were faithful, and those who hadn't develop or stayed true to the faith they received.
(Isaiah 65:13) 13 Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said: “Look! My own servants will eat, but YOU yourselves will go hungry. Look! My own servants will drink, but YOU yourselves will go thirsty. Look! My own servants will rejoice, but YOU yourselves will suffer shame.
That is why people ask questions. They may have a Bible, but no one to teach them.

Oh but when I read up on Physics when I was 12 I asked questions.
I have read the Bible/s from front to back many times and that is why I ask questions.

Here why Romans 15:4 For all the things that werewritten beforehand were written for our instruction, so that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope.
Most importantly
2;thy 3:16,17 All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, so that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.

The problem is that it was clearly written by primitive men. It contains so many inconsistencies, flaws, errors and other mistakes AND is written in a language which allows all kinds of interpretations. If it had been from some god, surely it would be without all those errors and not open to interpretation.

a lot of people can't understand what it means, it's really not that hard; the hardest part would be the book of Apocalypse/Revelations which requires reading the whole bible because it's written in code using the books before that one.

Because the bible can be read, but God has to teach you eactly what it is teaaching. You may rewad the whole book, but did you really understand what the bibe is really teaching??? The bible can never be a finished book because it is God's spoken word.

Christians are to lazy to read the Bible, then they go on about how they know everything, when truly they only use to parts in the Bible that suits them best.
