Chances of becoming pregnant? Spotting first month of bc: one pill missed, next late?
My last period started Nov. 27th(Wed). I started the pill on Sunday night, Dec 1rst. I had sex after my period ended. I've been taking it regularly and on time every day, but I missed a pill and I didn't even know I missed it until I got home today and grabbed for my pack to take my next one. I had bleeding today. I was having abdominal pain earlier and that was followed by heavy spotting, nothing at all like a period, but a little more than the tiny pink dots here and there. I took tonight's pill late and had sex last night (when I missed the pill).
What are the chances I could become pregnant in this situation? (It was the first month I have taken birth control in years.)

So birth control pills are not effective until you have been taking them for at least a month, and even after that they don't have a 100 percent effectiveness. So if you have had sex there is always a chance that you could have become pregnant. That chance decreases considering you were so close to your menstrual cycle, however if truly concerned grab a test and check for sure. A lot of tests on the market can tell you within a week of becoming pregnant.
