How do I check how much memory one stick of ram has?

I ordered a bundle on ebay, and got one stick of ram. It is a Corsair Vengeance, and on it it says "8GB (2X4GB)". So I'm not sure if it's 4GB or 8GB. (I only got one stick). And I was gonna get another one but they only come in bundles of two, So what should I do now? I cant put it into my PC and check because I'm only starting to build it.

If it says "2x4GB" then it means 2 x 4GB RAM sticks, so 2 would be going into your PC. It may also say how the kit is on the manufactures website.

Normally on the side of a RAM module is a label that may specifically have how many GBs it is, or if not, would probably have the model number on it; which often helps find this out.

Last case scenario is to do what Einstien said.

plug your sick in the computer click on your start menu. it should say what is available and how much is still free to use. usually this is going to be your pen drive D)

you must be an idiot to give me a thumbs down on this one. it's so damn simple a caveman could do it. you obviously cant.

by the way if you have win-8 download the start button genius @http://www.classicstart8.com/

if the button wont stay pinned just click the windows key
