How come they changed stadiums for the Cotton Bowl Classic?

I just do not get it. How come the Cotton Bowl Classic is no longer played at the Cotton Bowl Stadium? It has just as much seating capacity as AT&T Stadium. (though AT&T Stadium has more standing room capacity) The Cotton Bowl Stadium is a historic stadium. The Cotton Bowl Classic is a historic college bowl game. The Cotton Bowl Classic was always played at the stadium that was named after it. Someone please tell me why they changed stadiums for the Cotton Bowl Classic?

Thanks in advance
