Convert J/K to J/mol*K?

It seems like both of these are acceptable units for delta s, but I don't understand why. How are they equivalent and how do you convert between them?

The are not the same. J//(mol*K) is the entropy per mol of stuff so to get total entropy you would multiple by number of mol of the molecules you are working with.
