Do Illegal immigrants need to get health insurance in 2014?
I have a family member that is illegal in the Us, and my question is is it mandatory for them to get covered with health insurance as well?

No, because the penalty for not having health insurance is a tax, which tax is only collectible through confiscating tax refunds. If your family member does not pay taxes (most illegal immigrants do not) then there is no way that the requirement to purchase health insurance can be enforced.

No. Illegal immigrants are not subject to the individual mandate. They are also not entitled to the various benefits of Obamacare (such as subsidies for insurance)

A person with no legal status cannot buy insurance. If you are legal and the person is under 26 you can cover with your insurance.

Yet another reason Obamacare is a miserable failure. the 30 million illegals who were the ones using the emergency rooms for their medical care will STILL use the emergency room for their medical care
