Do Illegal immigrants need to get health insurance in 2014?

I have a family member that is illegal in the Us, and my question is is it mandatory for them to get covered with health insurance as well?

No, they are not covered by the law.

  • No, because the penalty for not having health insurance is a tax, which tax is only collectible through confiscating tax refunds. If your family member does not pay taxes (most illegal immigrants do not) then there is no way that the requirement to purchase health insurance can be enforced.

Only USA citizen will be force to pay into they high cost of health care. Face fines and higher taxes. SO your friend that is here illegally will have it for free. God Bless America.

How can I become an illegal so I don't have to pay...

No. Illegal immigrants are not subject to the individual mandate. They are also not entitled to the various benefits of Obamacare (such as subsidies for insurance)

A person with no legal status cannot buy insurance. If you are legal and the person is under 26 you can cover with your insurance.

No. Illegals are not subject to the law. It's only for legal citizens and legal immigrants.

    No.

Yet another reason Obamacare is a miserable failure. the 30 million illegals who were the ones using the emergency rooms for their medical care will STILL use the emergency room for their medical care

Nope. The taxpayers will be forced to pick up the tab just as we are doing now.
